Ok everyone, so this book has a special place in my heart. I must admit, I'm a tad bit biased since it's authored by my wonderful sister and written about my mom who passed away. However, it is a must read for everyone! It is a story about my mother's battle with both alcoholism and breast cancer, and how it impacted our family's lives, and how it's shaped us into the people we are today. Melinda's writing is simple and extremely powerful, and will bring tears to even the toughest of critics. ReplyDeleteThe most rewarding part of having this book published and read is the feedback I've received-from friends, family, and perfect strangers. It's taught me that practically everyone has gone through some sort of tragedy or hardship in life, whether we realize it or not. It's amazing what solice can be found in knowing that someone else has gone through it as well, and come out alright on the other side. None of us have identical lives, but we're all built the same. So thanks to my readers, who've provided me with such amazing perspective. Makes me realize even more how similar we all are.
