Top Chef, Season 5, Episode 2

The contestant chefs found themselves cooking in Tom Colicchio's famed NYC restaurant Craft, where they were tasked with cooking 'new-American' dishes to wow the judges.  I'm not really crazy about any of the contestants this year, with the exception maybe of the 2 Europeans (Fabio and Stefan)....they're arrogant as hell but at least they're somewhat good-looking and entertaining...

Anyways, none of the contestants really blew the judges away, and Ms. Jill was sent home, due to her awful attempt at an ostrich-egg quiche...ewww, sorry, just threw up a little....adios beeatch!

Top Chef Season 5 Premiere

New York, New York!!!

Well the emmy-winning cooking show Top Chef debuted last night in its 5th season. Set in New York this season, there is certainly no lack of inspiration for these foodies!  The contestants were split up into pairs of twos, and dueled head-to-head in a cookoff inspired by various neighborhoods in NYC.  Personally, I think some of the teams really blew and missed their opportunity to make a good first impression on the judges!  I'm loving Team Rainbow already, which is generically the 3 homos on the show.  Also, I think head chef Tom Colicchio is a hottie, in a bearish sort of way.  Padma just annoys the shizzit out of me!  Who the hell is she anyways, and how is she qualified to host this show?!?!  Anyways, thoughts?
